VivaRx gives Brixadi (buprenorphine extended-release) on-site, by appointment, on the schedule your prescriber chooses. We handle insurance verification, prior authorization, REMS, and scheduling.
Brixadi is buprenorphine extended-release, a long-acting injection for adults with moderate to severe opioid use disorder.
Two schedules give prescribers flexibility: weekly (8, 16, 24, or 32 mg) or monthly (64, 96, or 128 mg).
Injected under the skin of the buttock, thigh, abdomen, or upper arm. It isn’t self-administered.
For people who have started a transmucosal buprenorphine product or already take buprenorphine, as part of a plan that includes counseling and psychosocial support.
We take the logistics off your plate — and your provider's.
Your prescriber or recovery program sends us the Brixadi order, including the schedule and dose. We confirm everything is in place.
We verify insurance, manage the prior authorization, and complete the required REMS steps.
We call you to schedule, give the injection at VivaRx, and follow up before your next dose.
If you're an IEHP member, your medications are covered through Medi-Cal Rx — the pharmacy benefit we bill every day. We also accept most Anthem Blue Cross and Aetna pharmacy plans, along with most major insurance. Call with your member ID and we'll verify your coverage and start any prior authorization that's needed.
Injections are given at our Rancho Mirage pharmacy. Scheduling is coordinated with your provider or program, and we also work with recovery facilities.
Serious harm or death could result if Brixadi is given intravenously. It’s available only through a restricted REMS program.
