VivaRx gives monthly Sublocade (buprenorphine extended-release) on-site, by appointment, with no separate clinic visit and no judgment. We handle insurance verification, prior authorization, REMS, and scheduling.
Sublocade is buprenorphine extended-release, a long-acting injection for moderate to severe opioid use disorder.
Monthly subcutaneous injection, with doses at least 26 days apart. Your prescriber sets the dose (100 mg or 300 mg).
Never self-administered or taken home. It’s prepared and injected for you, and the injection site is rotated between doses.
For people who have started a transmucosal buprenorphine product or already take buprenorphine. Your prescriber decides when you’re ready.
We take the logistics off your plate — and your provider's.
Your prescriber or recovery program sends us the Sublocade order. We confirm everything is in place.
We verify insurance, manage the prior authorization, and complete the required REMS steps.
We call you to schedule, give the injection at VivaRx, and follow up before your next dose.
If you're an IEHP member, your medications are covered through Medi-Cal Rx — the pharmacy benefit we bill every day. We also accept most Anthem Blue Cross and Aetna pharmacy plans, along with most major insurance. Call with your member ID and we'll verify your coverage and start any prior authorization that's needed.
Injections are given at our Rancho Mirage pharmacy, at Monterey & Country Club. Scheduling is coordinated with your provider or program.
Sublocade forms a solid mass after injection. Serious harm or death could result if it’s given intravenously. It’s available only through a restricted REMS program, and it’s not appropriate for people who have not used opioids. Patients starting treatment are monitored after the first injection as directed in the prescribing information, so a first visit may take longer than later ones.
Talk with your prescriber about whether Sublocade is right for you, and read the full prescribing information.
